VALLEY INN WELCOMES DOGS
(pricing and policies below)
The
spacious grounds of the Inverness Valley Inn are appreciated
by guests with dogs. We welcome a limited number of
“perfectly behaved” dogs with prior telephone
reservation. Of our 20 rooms and suites, 6 are designated
“ dog-friendly”; the other rooms are strictly
“pet-free” rooms.
The
fee for dog guests is $25 for the first night and $10
for subsequent nights of your stay. We provide a fenced-in
dog run, dog beds, and “biobags” for dog
guests.
In practice, “perfectly behaved” dogs are
pets whose owners manage them so that they do not adversely
affect the inn e xperience
for other guests or residents (human and animal). We
have developed a list of guidelines
for dogs and their owners that we send with the email
confirmation. We
have learned that not all dogs have the temperament
and training to be good guests a country inn.
The
Inverness Valley Inn is home to 2 dogs, 2 cats, a flock
of backyard chickens, and a small herd of sheep and
goats and a llama, as well as abundant wildlife. The
resident farm animals spend part of the time unfenced,
helping with the mowing and weed-eating.
We
also have many visitors, including small children, who
do not feel comfortable with dogs off-leash. Wildlife
such as skunks, raccoons, foxes, coyotes and even mountain
lions are sometimes in the area. Therefore, visiting
dogs must be on leashes at all times, except in the
fenced dog run.
If you want to bring you dog to the
Inverness Valley Inn, you need to make your dog reservation
by telephone. And please bring your dog only if you
and your canine companion can abide by the list of guidelines
for dogs and their owners at the end of your email reservation
confirmation.
